The Ethical Issues Regarding Termination of Pregnancy in the Psychotic Patients



Abstract
Four cases of pregnant psychotic patients were illustrated. Several difficulties arising in deciding abortions and applying treatment modalities to the patient were discussed. When paychiatric patients were pregnant, they discontinued the
medication
which lead them into psychotic recurrence. Then the psychotic patients emerged not only into the crisis in their marital life but also the difficulties in continuing their pregnancy. their pregnancy. The role of psychiatrist is modulating the

environment with crisis intervention and the doctor should give deep considerations for keeping the pregnancy. As psychiatrist, they should have a right concept and belief regarding ethical value of the life. Some parts in ethical problems appear
